Isabel M. Hogan Obituary
HOGAN, Isabel M. (Taylor) Isabel M. (Taylor) Hogan of Centerville, died June 29, 2014. Isabel was born in Jamaica Plain, MA on March 14, 1921 to Elizabeth and William Taylor. Isabel married Paul X. Hogan in 1944. Tragically her husband Paul was killed in action in WWII in Europe just six months after they wed. Paul achieved the rank of Sergeant as a waist gunner in 8th Army Air Force. He was decorated with the Purple Heart and the Army Air Force Air Medal. She is survived by her cousins: Michael Taylor, Doretta Martin, Colleen Hammerquist, Roberta Banks, Marie Taylor, Maureen Giallombardo, nieces: Marian, Cecilia, Katherine and Deborah Hogan. In addition to her parents Isabel was preceded in death by her two sisters, Elizabeth Hogan and Dorothy O'Connell. Isabel's Mom brought home two co-workers while the family was living in Roslindale, Lila and Didi Donlan, who became like lifelong sisters to Isabel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumpstion Church, Wianno Ave Osterville on Wed July 2 at 10:00 am. Visiting hours in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home 3778 Falmouth Rd (Rt28) Marstons Mills on Tues from 5-8 pm. Burial will be announced on Tuesday at the Visiting hours.
