JAMES J. CLARK Obituary
CLARK, James J. Age 78, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully, Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Jim was born and raised in Dorchester and was educated in Boston schools. He has lived in Quincy for ten years, previously in Dorchester for most of his life. He was employed as an electrician for Local 103 for over forty years and has been retired many years. Jim served in the U. S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Corduba, AF-32 during the Korean War. He had a passion for music and enjoyed reading and travelling. Jim was devoted to his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Jeanie (Bassanelli) Clark. Devoted brother of Arlene Gordon of Buzzards Bay, Richard Clark and his wife Pat of Braintree, Pat Stachowski and her husband Ron of Whitman, Marie Wiley of South Boston, Valerie Bayko and her husband Mark of Manchester, NH, Linda Holt of Dorchester, Lisa Clark of Dorchester, the late Anne Reardon and her husband Kevin of Buzzards Bay, the late Joseph Clark and his wife Jeannie of Dorchester. Brother-in-law of Barbara Bragg of Centerville and the late Betty Wilkinson of Middleboro. Loving partner of Caro Foley of Quincy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, QUINCY, Thursday, August 14th at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas More Church, corner of Hawthorn Road and Elm Street, Braintree at 9 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home Wednesday 3-7 p.m. Interment with Military Honors at the Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
