JOHN A. VOROS Obituary
Voros, John A. 66, died on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the NY Visiting Nurses Hospice Haven at Belleview Hospital. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after a valiant fight with lung cancer, surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Voros is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Georgina; his daughter Christina and her fiancee, Jason Owen; his 101 year old mother, Margit; his brother Arpad and sister-in-law Sheila Fitzgerald; a brother-in-law Otto David and his wife Maria Bonsanti; three nephews, Andrew, Arpad, and James and his companion, Jess Hatstat; a niece, Stephanie and her husband, Paul Hoffman; and two great nephews, Jameson and Austin. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Bill. He was a devoted husband and a caring and loving father and a dear friend. John Voros attended St. Stephen of Hungary School and St. Agnes High School in NYC and then Harvard University and Suffolk Law School in MA. He was a brilliant attorney, restaurateur, wine maker, photographer, a lover of books, food and music and an avid Red Sox fan. You will remain in our heart forever. We love you. Memorial Mass will be at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, 980 Park Avenue at 84th Street, New York, NY, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
