JOHN FRANCIS "JACK" MCMAHON II Obituary
McMahon, II, John Francis "Jack" Passed away on April 1st, surrounded by his loving and much-loved family. He spent his life doing the things he loved and was truly a happy man. He loved playing games and spent 40 years working at Parker Brothers and then Hasbro doing just that. He was an artist, a writer and a musician-taking up the harmonica just weeks before his death. He loved his family and time spent in Maine, New Hampshire and Disney World. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his children, Kathleen McGann of Topsfield, Liz Murphy and her husband Bob and John Francis McMahon III and his wife Cassandra, all of Boxford. He adored his grandchildren- they lit up his days: Emily Murphy, Katherine McGann, Elizabeth Murphy, James McGann, Conor McGann, John Francis McMahon IV, Robert Murphy, Abigail McMahon, Aileen Murphy and Tyler McMahon. Jack had two devoted brothers, Robert and the late Walter McMahon. They shared his love of the Red Sox and all things "Sports". Lastly, he leaves the love of his life, Lee, with whom he shared 57 beautiful years of marriage. They are an inspiration to all who knew them. Jack's final months were blessed by the presence of his "Guardian Angels" from Advantage Nursing and the family would like to thank them for their loving care and friendship. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, 12 Park Street, Topsfield on Saturday at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, Friday 4-7PM. Burial with military honors will be in the Boxford Village Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Boxford Council on Aging, 4 Middleton Road, Boxford, MA 01921. Information, directions or condolences at www.campbellfuneral .com
