McGRATH, John J. Jack Jr. 69, of Quincy - our beautiful sweet Jack, March 10, his loving family at his side after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of Jan M. Peterson-McGrath of Quincy. Devoted father of John J., III & his wife Karen of Dover, Todd & his wife Stacey and Scott & his wife Rebecca, all of Bridgewater, and Kimberly Shea & her husband Michael of Raynham. Special bond with Pam & Jeffrey of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Erin, Adam, Samantha, Alex, Kyle, Matthew, Alison, Veronica, Tabitha, Emily, Katherine & Ava. Son of the late John and Constance (Di Monte) McGrath. Also survived by his wonderful sister Franny Dockham, his many beloved sisters and brothers-in law, his dear niece & nephew, Madison & Cameron, and many other loving nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Toni Ricci. Jack appreciated the support of his long-time dear friends, Hinda Marcus and Al & Sandy. Funeral Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 40 Darrow St., Quincy, Saturday at 11 AM. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Friday 4 to 8 PM. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Served proudly in the US Army. A long-time dedicated Vice Pres. of Sales of Arnold Industries in Canton, where he had many friendships. Late member of the American Legion and the VFW Post. Enjoyed vacations with his family on Cape Cod and traveling with Jan to their home in Boynton Beach, FL. Jack was known for entertaining his family and friends with his witty sense of humor.
