LEONARD M. PAUPLIS Obituary
Pauplis, Leonard M. 88, of Hudson, Aug. 19th. Devoted and loving husband of Jeannette L. (Pavlovich) Pauplis of Hudson. Also survived by three brothers, John Pauplis of Wayland, Alfred Pauplis of Hudson, William Pauplis and his wife Mary of Hudson; two sisters, Genia Pauplis of California, Diane Pauplis of Hudson and his two brothers in-law, Paul Pavlovich and his wife Frances and Ronald Pavlovich and his wife Anne, all of Canada. Born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Michael and Philomena (Olszewski) Pauplis. 1944 graduate of Hudson H.S.; WWII Navy Veteran, serving aboard the H.M.S. Empire Mace in the Philippines; Subic Bay and Gamadodo, New Guinea; received an Engineering Degree from Harvard University and had a long and rewarding career as an engineer with such local companies as Surprenant Co., Raytheon, Mitre Corp. N.A.S.A. Electronic Research Centre and retired from the Sylvania GTE Co. Leonard was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson; St. Vincent De Paul; Hudson Knights of Columbus; Hudson Historical Society, the I.E.E.E.; American Legion and the A.I.A.A. (American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics). A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours are on Friday, Aug. 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, (Rt. 62, exit 26 off Rt. 495) Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
