1934 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Wiesner, Lucille (Wood) "Lucy" Of Newton Highlands, died on April 7. Born on February 12, 1934 in Rockford, IL, she was daughter of the late Dorothy L. and Clifford G. Wood. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth B. Wiesner, and deeply loved mom of David K. Wiesner and his wife Deirdre F. Wiesner of Bow, NH and of Julie M. Wiesner of Newton Highlands. She was dear sister of Clifford G. Wood and wife Shirley of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, dear aunt of Jan and Roger Bieri of Swampscott, of Cynthia and Keith Smith of Chicago, of Todd Karakashian and Paul Fukui of Portland, OR, and of Stefan Karakashian of Bellingham, WA, and cherished great-aunt of Kate, Liz and Emily. Lucy was a retired Newton elementary school teacher. Lucy was an ever-cheerful volunteer at Mass. Assoc. for the Blind and Newton City Hall for many years, and loved her church and singing in its choir. As a wheelchair-bound person for 14 years she was a stellar example and role model. Visiting hours will be held at Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St., NEWTON, MA 02458 on Sunday, April 13 from 4-7 PM. A celebration of Lucy's life will be held on Monday, April 14 at 11 AM at United Methodist Church of Newton, 430 Walnut St., Newtonville, 02460. In lieu of flowers please donate to Mass.
