Obituary Condolences

Cassese, Michael A "Mike" 93, of Danvers, died peacefully at the Kaplan House in Danvers on August 24, 2014. He had shared a wonderful 60 years of marriage with his late wife, Rose (Swiderski) Cassese and was also predeceased by his beloved son, Michael Cassese Jr. Mike was the son of the late Paul and Lucy (Caporale) Cassese. Mike worked for HP Hood and Sons for over 30 years and was a WWII veteran. He proudly served his country in the US Army Corps and was stationed in southern Italy where he was a mechanic on the B24 bomber planes. He is survived by his daughter, Paula McKinnon, his grandson, Michael McKinnon, and his son in law, Robert McKinnon. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Saunders of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. Special mention to his niece, Susan Barbuzzi, for always keeping an eye out for him. Mike's funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., followed by his Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. Mary Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. For directions and on-line obituary, visit www.ccbfuneral.com.
