GUNNING, Thomas S., Jr. Of Milton, April 4. Beloved husband of Helen M. (Barrett) and the late Gracemarie A. (Walsh). Survived by his devoted children & stepchildren; K. Jane Logue & her husband James, Thomas J. Gunning & his wife Rosemary, all of Norwell, Patricia A. McNulty & her husband Gerry of E. Weymouth, Carole A. Roberts of KY, Patricia M. Ceurvels of Hanover, Thomas G. Meehan of Norfolk, Elaine M. Branca of IL, Janet M. Fitzgerald of Hanover, Michael M. Meehan of Narragansett, RI, and Brian J. Meehan of Quincy and his 31 cherished grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late James F. Gunning & brother-in-law of Kay Gunning of Hingham. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Mon. at 12 noon. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., MILTON, Sun. 1 to 5 PM. Founding member of Laborer's & Carpenter's Unions Training Funds. Trustee of Multiple Building Trades Benefit Funds. Forty-year Milton Town Assessor & Town Meeting Member. Past Pres. & founding member of Milton Residence for the Elderly. Incorporator of Milton Hospital. Past Pres. & founding member of Milton Merchants. Supporter & actively involved in many Milton Youth Sports Programs. Avid Tennis Player. Late member of Wollaston Golf Club, The Neighborhood Club of Quincy, Hyannis Yacht Club, Wychmere Harbor Club, and Milton Kiwanis Hall of Fame. Recipient of The Boston Catholic Labor Guild Cushing-Gavin Award, The Peace Medal from State of Israel Bonds, The Construction Institute's Volpe-Egan award. The Northeast Roofing Contractors Assn. Clarence Carr Award and many other Industry recognitions. Graduate of Bentley College. WW II Army veteran. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The Thomas S.
