WILLIAM E. (BILL) HILL Jr. Obituary
Hill, William E. Jr. (Bill) Age 67, passed away Thursday, August 7th peacefully at home with his wife at his side, MaryAnn (Horrigan) Marcin Hill. Bill was born in Lowell and grew up in Chelmsford. He graduated from Chelmsford High School, class of 1966, and enlisted in the Air Force the same year, serving in Germany until 1970. Once honorably discharged from the service he worked for Nynex, retiring as a manager in the Computer Trouble Analysis Center after 25 years, and then for several school systems before taking a position at the Reading Public Schools in 1999, where he worked until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed sports as a spectator and participant playing hockey, golf, and tennis. Tirelessly playing catch, and hitting balls with his stepsons and children, passing on his love for the sports. Bill also had a passion for sports cars, and detailing - keeping all our cars the cleanest in town! Although initially, the beach was not a favorite vacation spot, he grew to love our walks and sunsets on Mayflower Beach on the Cape. A loving husband and step dad with a great sense of humor he will be dearly missed. Bill was predeceased by his parents William (Ted) and Irene Hill and his sister and brother-in-law Howard and Betty Fuson. Bill is survived by step-sons Daniel of North Andover and Robert of Plymouth, daughter Sheri Flavell (Jay) of Chelmsford, son Steve Hill (Lori) of Bourne, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 3 p.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, NORTH ANDOVER, MA. Calling hours will follow after the service until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
