Butler, William H.
91 years of age, of Braintree, a Braintree resident for the past 55 years entered Life Eternal at his home in Braintree on Friday, November 29, 2013. He was born in Boston and was a graduate of Watertown High School class of 1941 and Boston College Class of 1949 where he received a degree in Chemical Engineering. He also attended Northeastern University. He was the Chief Chemist and Technical Director for the Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton. He belonged to the American Chemical Society. He was also a member of the American Legion at Bradenton, FL. He enjoyed the time he spent at Green Harbor with his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Ann T. (Herlihy) Butler to whom he has been married to for 63 years. He was the devoted father of Ann T. Donahue married to Richard Donahue of Sudbury, Mary E. Albrecht married to Mark Albrecht of Quincy, William H. Butler Jr. married to Brenda Butler of Brockton, and Patricia E. Calkins married to Gregory Calkins of Braintree. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandson. William was the brother of the late Robert H. Butler and the late Frederick J. Butler Jr. There will be a visiting hour at the Mortimer N. Peck - Russell Peck Funeral home, 516 Washington Street on Tuesday December 3rd from 9am-10:15am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St .Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street South Braintree Square at 10:30am. Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1pm. Memorial donations may be sent to the Massachusetts General Development Office for Memory Disorders Unit, 100 Cambridge Street suite 1310, Boston, Ma 02114 with special thanks to Dr. Scott Podolsky.
