WINNETT, William H. 80, of Falmouth, formerly of Wilmington, died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 He was the husband of 56 years to Maureen P. (Carew) Winnett. Bill entered the US Marine Corps, he served in the Korean War and received a Purple Heart. Beloved father of Christine P. Briggs of Salem, NH, William H. Winnett, Jr., of Taunton, James Winnett of Malden, Margaret M. Welch and her husband, Ned of Haverhill, Mary Giroux of Wilmington, Paul Winnett of Billerica, Francis Winnett of Wilmington, Elizabeth M. Lawrenson and her husband Jerry of Wilmington. brother of Francis X. Winnett and his wife, Mary of VA, Maryann Rimbocchi and her husband Nick of CT, Paula McAuliffe and her husband Charlie of VA, grandfather of Meaghan E. Briggs, Katie M. Briggs, Devin P. Giroux Ryan M. Giroux, Nolan E. Giroux, Sophie F. Welch, Jeremiah A. Welch James Lawrenson, Thomas Lawrenson and the late Joshua R. Giroux. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec 18, from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM in the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, FALMOUTH, MA. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 19 at 10:00AM in St. Patricks Church, 511 Main St, Falmouth. Burial will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
