Julius M. Rambat 87 years old, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, with his family at his side on Friday, February 8, 2013, joining his beloved wife, Delphine, who predeceased him in October 2012, as well as his sister, Rose Brdar, in 2008. Julius is survived by his children, Jadel (Paul) Lerner, Rayna (Doug) Burns, Gregory Rambat (Gina) and Dara (Jamie) Cockrum; his grandchildren, Melissa and Alexandra Lerner; Ariana and Conor Burns; Michael and Nicholas Rambat and Jordan and Benjamin Cockrum. Julius is also survived by his sister, Josephine; and brother-in-law, Peter Sredich. Julius leaves behind loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In 1988, Julius and Delphine moved to Bradenton, Florida where they finally learned to relax, enjoy life to the fullest and met many new friends. In the summer of 2008, they moved to Independence Village in Grand Ledge where they resided until April 2012, when Dara and Jamie opened their home to provide loving, extended care to accommodate their needs. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens.
