John Frederick Cooper
SARASOTA, FL: John Frederick Cooper, 74, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Bucyrus, died Friday, October 4, 2013 in Versailles, KY.
He was born June 20, 1939 in Bucyrus, OH son of the late Adam Warren and Elizabeth George Cooper.
In 1962 John received a B.S. Degree in Agriculture from Ohio State University where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity. He worked for over 12 years as a Cost Accountant for Ohio Locomotive Crane, Inc. He was a member of the St. Wilfred's Episcopal Church in Sarasota, FL and St. John's Episcopal Church in Versailles, KY. John previously served as a 4-H Leader in Crawford County, OH and in the Lion's Club in IN and OH.
John is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joan Fodrea Cooper; two sons, Todd (Angel) Cooper of Georgetown and Scott Cooper of Annapolis, MD; two grandchildren, Ian Cooper and Angelique Frisby White; and two sisters, Sue Byrnes of Fremont, OH, and Julia (Paul) Pfeifer of Bucyrus, OH.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, October 8th at St. John's Episcopal Church in Versailles, KY with Fr. Phillip Linder officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles, KY. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Monday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, KY.
