Marvin E. Rothhaar

SPRINGFIELD: Marvin E. Rothhaar, 80, of Springfield, Ohio and formerly of Ogden, Utah and Columbus, Ohio, died Friday morning, May 3, 2013.

He was born in Chatfield, Ohio on October 31, 1932, the son of the late Milton and Pearl (Clady) Rothhaar. Marv was 1950 graduate of Bucyrus High School and shortly after entering college, enlisted in the U.S. Army, served during the Korean War, and was awarded the Silver Star for his service. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, and his Jurist Doctorate from Franklin Law School (Capital University Law School). He was a member of Acacia Fraternity, Ohio State Chapter and York Lodge No. 0563 F. & A.M. Marv was an avid Lake Erie fisherman and Utah skier.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia L. (Gifford) Rothhaar; a sister, Mary Lois (David) Cremer of Perrysburg, Ohio; sister-in-law, Marlene Rothhaar of Bucyrus; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rothhaar.

At Marv's request, no services will be observed.
