KOPP - Charles Vernon "Dutch" Of Akron, NY, age 87, entered into rest August 13, 2014, beloved husband of Barbara (nee Tinkham) Kopp of Akron; loving father of Kimberly (Daniel) Weatherall of Albion, NY and Cortland C. Kopp of Attica, NY; dearest grandfather of Lindsay (Ryan) Kozyra of Tonawanda, NY; cherished great-grandfather of Oliver and Landon; brother of the late Robert (Jean) Kopp, Hazel (Norman) Cheney and Phyllis (John) Nicomito; also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will be present Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 4-8 PM to receive friends in the BERNHARDT FUNERAL HOME, 130 Main St., Akron. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 10 AM in St. Teresa's Roman Catholic Church, 5771 Buell St., Akron. (Please assemble at church.) Dutch served with the U.S. Marines during World War II and the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was also was a member of the Akron Fire Company and an exempt member of the fire company for many years. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Akron Fire Company. Burial in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery for the convenience of the family.
