PFEIFER - Layton E. "Redd" Of East Aurora, passed away December 7, 2013, beloved husband of the late Patricia B. Pfeifer; loving father of Philip E. Pfeifer (Donna), Bette Sue Allen (Larry), Pamela Pfeifer Harmon (Mac) and the late Kathlyn Cunningham; brother of the late Donald Pfeifer; proud grandparent of Ted and Max Pfeifer, Adriane Allen Neumeister (late Daniel), Stephanie and Jonathan Allen, Danielle Harmon Suite (Tyler), Carissa, Kaitlin and Bayley Harmon, Phillip Cunningham (Brittany), Molly and Kayla Cunningham. Redd was born December 29, 1928 in Buffalo and grew up in Holland and Forestville. He was a printer by trade, owned and published The Orbit, a local weekly newspaper and with the help of his wife, he built and owned Quaker-Park Press, Inc., which served the printing needs of WNY for many years. He was a retired East Aurora volunteer fireman, mason and long-time member of the First Baptist Church. He told and wrote great family stories and made hundreds of beautiful bird houses. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 591 Porterville Rd., East Aurora, Saturday, December 14th at 2 PM. Father Seth Brooker of St. Luke's Anglican Church will officiate. Arrangements made by COMFORT FUNERAL HOME, INC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Pfeifer's name may be made to The Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc., 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201 or BillyGrahman.org.
