BRZEZNIAK - Raymond G. December 30, 2012, known affectionately as "Yankee Ray" and "Raya." A lifelong resident of Western New York, Ray ran the family business, "Comet TV", located on Genesee St. on Buffalo's East Side. Ray was a great baseball player and lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. Ray proudly served in the Korean War. While serving in Korea, he had the opportunity to play baseball with Major League Stars such as Yogi Berra, Billy Martin, Enos Slaughter and Robin Roberts. He worked for and retired from the Erie County Board of Elections. During his retirement, he enjoyed delivering flowers for the Flower Derby, attending Bison games, rides to Reid's for a cheeseburger with a slice and a chocolate shake, Bye's for caramel corn and Olcott to sit by the lake. He also loved puttin' around on the riding lawnmower on Sundays. Survived by his six children: Endrea (Chuck), Nicholas (Annette), Cheryl (Mike), Tammy, Michelle, Kim (Orlando) and five grandchildren: Kristen, Brigette, Joshua, Brittany and Casey.
