BIANCHI - Rocco November 14, 2013 in Washington, DC. Age 95. Born in Monte San Giovanni Campano, Italy and a Buffalo resident from early childhood through 1960. Beloved patriarch and respected mentor to three generations of his family. Retired after a distinguished career in the aerospace industry, beginning at Bell Aerospace, including experimental projects and satellite development. WWII Navy veteran. Youngest child of the late Giovanni and Adrianna; dear brother of the late Antonio (Anthony), Giuseppe (Joseph), Filomena (Phyllis) and Assunta (Susan); beloved husband of the late Jane (nee Swieca) Bianchi and of Rosalyn (nee Capone) Randall Bianchi; devoted father with his wife Jane of Rocco A. (Linda) Bianchi and Susan (Robert Savelson) Bianchi; loving grandfather of three grandchildren, their spouses and three great-grandchildren. With his wife Rosalyn, loving father of seven children, eleven grandchildren, their spouses and ten great-grandchildren. Through his son-in-law Bob and daughter Susan, loving grandfather of six children, their spouses and eight great-grandchildren; also survived by ten loved nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. The family will be present on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Drive (at Parker Blvd.), where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Benedict Church at 9:30 AM.
