CARL "DUBBER" ST. PETER BURLINGTON- Carl B. St. Peter, 75, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at his home in Grand Isle. He was born on July 6, 1938, in Burlington, the son of Carl L. and Irene H. (Murphy) St. Peter. He was employed as a driver with Land-Air Freight (formerly Allied Airfreight) for nearly 40 years, and had been a former Burlington Police Officer. He served honorably with the Vermont Army National Guard, was a 35-year member of the Burlington Eagles Club, and a longtime member of Rocky Ridge Golf Club. Along with golfing, "Dubber" enjoyed cards, especially Pinochle, and was an excellent shuffleboard player. Carl will be remembered for his fine sense of humor. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Ann (Duhaime) St. Peter of Grand Isle; daughter, Stacey A. St. Peter of Georgia; two sisters, Corrine Nye of Williston, and Sharon Minahan and husband, David, of Burlington; brother, Bruce St. Peter and wife, Claudia, of Milton; and many nieces and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Chapel, 97 Elmwood Ave. Interment, with military honors rendered by the Vermont Army National Guard, will follow in New Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Plattsburgh Avenue. A reception will be held at the Burlington V.F.W., So.
