DORIS JUNE PEPIN SOUTH BURLINGTON - Doris June Pepin, 84, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in the Starr Farm Nursing Center. She was born in Burlington on June 7, 1929, the daughter of Alfred and Gladys (Abair) Merchand. She was educated at St. Anthony's Grade School and Cathedral High School. On May 7, 1949, she was married in Burlington to Roland Pepin. He predeceased her on Dec. 18, 2006. Doris had worked at various places throughout her life including General Electric, Martinizing Dry Cleaners, IBM and K-B Toys. She enjoyed bowling, camping, her grandchildren and traveling, especially her trips to Maine with lobster and pizza parties. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Patricia and Harry Soulia of Two Rivers, Wis., Paula and Mike Noonan of Milton, and Tim and Laurie Pepin, also of Milton; four grandchildren, Chadwick and wife, Cyndi Pepin, Greg Pepin, Shaun and wife, Angie Noonan, and Amanda and husband, Joe LaRock; great- grandchildren, Christina Pepin and fiance, Will Lestage, Carly Pepin and companion, Jordan Marut, Cierra Pepin, Nicholas Pepin, Evelyn Noonan, Edward Habeck, and Sophie, Henry, Abigale and Lucy LaRock; and her brother, Arthur Merchant and his companion, Kathy Adams. She also leaves a dear and special friend, Doris Ploof. Besides her husband, Doris was predeceased by a son, Thomas Pepin in July 2011; and by a sister, Shirley Speranza in September 2000. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Starr Farm Nursing Center for their kindness and exceptional care during their mother's stay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Burlington with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington.
