PATRICK A. MAILLE - BURLINGTON - Patrick A. Maille passed on May 8, 2014, at his home. He was born in Swanton on Feb. 24, 1936, son of Amedee P. and Dora (Miclette) Maille, who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Terry S. Guthrie and Gilbert S. Barrows; sisters-in-law, Theresa R. Maille and Marguerite Maille; and his nephews, Stanton and Shannon Barrows. Patrick is survived by his wife of 58 years; his daughter, Robbin M. and her husband, Edward Etchells of Tequesta, Fla.; his sons and their spouses, Thomas and Kristin of Burlington, Michael and MaryEllen of Colchester, Scott and Jennifer of Essex Junction, and Andy and Deborah of Burlington; four grandchildren, Ryan, Julia, Kendra and Jordan; two brothers, Joseph of Shelburne and George of Essex Junction; two sisters, Margaret (Maille) Guthrie of Williston and Lorraine (Maille) Barrows of Westford; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He met and married Theresa B. Martin at St. Joseph Church on Sept. 24, 1955. Patrick served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from June 1954 to December 1957. He attended Essex Junction High School and earned an associate's degree in Accounting from Champlain College evening division. He was employed with the former Green Mountain Power Corporation, serving as Assistant Treasurer and retired in April 1995 after 37 years of service. Patrick was a member of the Certified Management Accountants, a life member of North American Hunting Club, and the National Rifle Association. Pat enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. He also enjoyed helping his family on any projects which needed his assistance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral with interment to follow in New Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors. Contributions in Pat's memory may be made to Rice Memorial High School, 99 Proctor Ave., South Burlington, VT 05403.
