Albert "Bill" Moore, 64, of California, formerly of Butler, passed away Friday.
Bill was born on Sept. 27, 1948, in Butler.
Bill enjoyed living in a small town and loved running through the woods with his five siblings and driving cars along the winding back roads. He met the love of his life, Sandra "Sandi" in 1965, and they soon began dating. Bill graduated from Butler Senior High School in 1967.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army the same year and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He completed his service honorably and came home to marry his bride.
They moved to Southern California in 1970, where Bill worked building boats with his older brother Paul. After having two daughters, Kelly and Kristy, Bill and Sandi moved to Bakersfield, Calif., in 1978 to raise their family. Bill and Sandi had a son, T.J. in 1983, and loved raising their family in the Central Valley.
Bill worked a variety of professions, excelling at nearly every task. He was active in his local community and enjoyed serving his parish at the Christ the King Catholic Church. He loved working on cars with his son and was always the family's auto mechanic and handyman. Bill was blessed to see the marriages of all three of his children and the births of his five grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Albert Neil and Martha Moore and John Henry and Joan Vogel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandi; their two daughters, Kelly (John French) and Kristy (Jason Comstock); their son, T.J. (Ashley Moore), his brothers, Paul (Judy) Moore, Ed (Janice) Moore and Barry (Patty) Moore; two sisters, Pat (Bob) Cooper and Beverly (Larry) Hutchison, and their families. Bill also leaves behind five grandchildren, many friends and devoted family.
He was a loving husband, caring father and doting grandfather. He worked hard every day and was grateful for every blessing that came his way. He never asked for anything but deserved everything.
