Andrew Komitsky
Andrew Komitsky, 88, of Cambridge Springs, Pa., passed away at 8:20 p.m. Monday at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born April 5, 1925, in Lyndora to the late Fedore Komitsky and Suzanna (Czundak) Komitsky.
Mr. Komitsky served in the U.S. Army for 25 years as a pharmacy specialist during World War II and the Vietnam War.
He loved to read, and he loved his animals. He also had a love for the fine arts.
Mr. Komitsky is survived by Karen Connor, who was his caregiver for 10 years; one daughter, Mary Komitsky of Franklin, Pa.; two grandchildren, Nicole Pleger and John Pleger; three great-grandchildren, Paige Leigh Ann Perrine, Richard Lee Perrine IV, and Thomas Andrew Rennard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Alexander Komitsky, and one sister, Mary Gajda.
KOMITSKY - Friends of Andrew Komitsky, who passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Butler.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Father Joseph Wargo, officiating. Burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.
