Joseph R. Crowe
Joseph R. Crowe, 65, of Seven Fields, formerly of Ross Township, died Sunday morning at his home.
Born in Pittsburgh on May 12, 1948, he was the son of the late Ralph and Vivian Wolfe Crowe.
He was a negotiator for the procurement department of the Bayer Corp.
Joseph was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He had been a member of the Bloomfield VFW Post 278.
He was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed going to casinos. He and his wife traveled all over the world, and they collected magnets from everywhere they went.
He loved playing games, watching Sponge Bob and playing "the Claw" with his grandchildren.
He was the husband of Sherry Peck Crowe, who he married on Aug. 1, 1970; father of Cassandra L. "Casey" Chapman and her husband, Shawn, of Cranberry Township and Todd J. Crowe of Asheville, N.C.; pappy to Mason James, 6, and Morgan Eric, 4, Chapman; brother of Margaret "Peggy" Lesch of Coral Springs, Fla., Lisa Crowe of Pittsburgh and the late Richard Crowe, and the uncle of Heather and Dustin Lesch.
CROWE - The friends of Joseph R. Crowe, who died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Ralph Bachner of the St. Kilian Church officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, Freedom Station, 1223½ 28th St., San Diego, CA 92102.
