Lydia Ann McClary, 76, of Cranberry Township passed away Wednesday at VNA Hospice in Butler.
Born on Sept. 25, 1937, in Wayne, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Baney) Sullivan.
Lydia was a member of the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church in Wayne Township. She was also a member of the Cranberry Elks Lodge 2249, where she started the monthly birthday program for its members, organized food preparations for veterans throughout the years, and was elected Elk of the Year in 2001. Lydia was a volunteer for the Cranberry Township Women's Shelter as well as the Soap Box Derby, Western Pennsylvania Division. She was active in youth organizations as well as many other charitable activities, but most of all, she enjoyed her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 19 years, Gene McClary; her children, Cindi Gallaher of Ellwood City, Nici Gallaher of Evans City, James Jr. Gallaher of Ellwood City, Robert J. Gallaher and his wife, Lynne, of North Sewickley Township, Dennis G. Gallaher of Ellwood City and Danna McClellan and her husband, Steve, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her two stepchildren, Deborah Doyle of Lakeland, Fla., and Daniel McClary and his wife, Jennifer, of Willow Street, Pa.; her two brothers, James Sullivan and his wife, Lorrain, of New York and William Sullivan of Beaver Falls; her three sisters, Eleanor Wimer and her husband, James, of Fombell, Edna Grace Funari of Ellwood City and Donna Trn and her husband, Ed, of Beaver Falls; her five grandchildren, Rochelle, Loralei, Zachary, Preston and Alexis; and her six stepgrandchildren, Samuel, Anne, Chelsea, Josiah, Geoffrey and Sean.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Alfred, George and Melvin Sullivan.
McClary - The family of Lydia Ann McClary, who passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, will welcome friends from 1 p.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Andrew Shaffer officiating.
