Roy C. Grise Jr.
Roy C. Grise Jr., 87, of Renfrew passed away Thursday at the Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony.
Born on Oct. 28, 1926, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Rosemma (Hill) Grise Sr.
Roy was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II.
In his early years, he appreciated photography and worked for a printing company in Shadyside for 23 years. A dedicated and hard worker by nature, Roy loved his recent job at Wal-Mart in the tire and lube and grocery departments.
In his free time, he enjoyed helping his friend work on cars in his garage. Above all, he was a devoted husband to his late wife, who he cared for throughout her years with multiple sclerosis. He was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren who he would do absolutely anything for.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two children, Marcia Shepard and her husband, William, of Renfrew and Ronald Kramer Sr., and his wife, Yong, of Turtle Creek; his brother, James Grise Sr. and his wife, Mitzi, of Munhall; his sister, Doris Reidenbaugh of Pittsburgh; his five grandchildren, Victoria Lydon, Makenna Lydon, Kim Krsul and her husband, Jesse, Elizabeth Kramer and Ronald Kramer Jr., and his great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Grise; his granddaughter, Rehanna Lydon, and his sister, Edith Duffey.
