Our dear mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, Sharon Diana Hinton, 60, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Butler, lost her battle to cancer on Wednesday.
Sharon was born in Butler on July 3, 1954, and graduated from Butler High School in 1972.
Throughout her life she was employed by Magnetics and Penn Champ in East Butler, and Twin Lakes Imaging Center and Halifax Hospital, both in Florida. For 25 years, she was the co-owner and operator of Tom's Mobile Home Park in Butler.
Sharon lived in Butler until relocating to Florida in 2005.
She was a member of the Elks Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary Post 778, and a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary 249. Before relocating to Florida, Sharon was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed the beach and spending time with friends and family.
Sharon's smile and personality was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Survivors include her fiance, John Berry of Palm Coast, Fla.; her children, Laura Renae Baumgart Stephenson of Palm Coast, Fla., and Amy Lynn Baumgart Goss and Crystal Gayle Baumgart Walker, both of Butler; her parents, Walter and Betty Lou Hinton Jr. of Butler; her brother, Walter Hinton III and his wife, Connie, of Mt. Airy, Md.; her sister, Cheryl (Jack) Schnitzer of Butler; seven grandchildren, Haley Brooke Stephenson, Peyton Olivya Dykeman and Camryn Grace Dykeman of Palm Coast, Fla., and Kolton Cayde Goss, Kylee Elizabeth Goss, Tomi Shalynn Pyle, and London Leigh Walker, all of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her children's father, Thomas Richard Baumgart, who passed away July 20, 2006, and by her grandparents, Eldon and Kathryn McDonald.
