Wilbur C. Badger, 79, affectionately known as "Bud," passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning in his home in Kennerdell, surrounded by family who loved him dearly.
Bud was born in Apollo to Joseph and Ruth Badger on May 23, 1935.
After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1955, where he served as a technical sergeant for 20 years.
He married Lois Badger on May 7, 1970, in Fayetteville, N.C., and moved up-camp permanently after their children were raised.
Bud loved fishing, hunting, building and just being by the river with his family. He mixed a mean drink and played a good hand of cards. Bud loved his cats and spoiled them rotten, almost as much as his grandchildren. He was the best pa, friend, husband, mentor and drinkin' buddy anyone could ask for.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lois; his five children, Pam, Joe, PJ, Brenda and Buddy; his grandchildren, and his sister, Joan Howlett.
