William W. Henderson, 87, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Zelienople, passed away Wednesday at the VNA Hospice in Vero Beach.

Born May 16, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James Lee and Marjorie (Robinson) Henderson.
Bill was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. He was a graduate of Penn State University and retired as chairman emeritus from Robinson Industries.
Bill served as a trustee for the Butler County Family YMCA and was on the board of managers as well as the building committee of the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA. He was the former president and board member on the Southwest Butler County School Board for 16 years and was also instrumental in the formation of the local Junior Achievement program. Bill was also a member of the Harmony Lodge Masons and will be remembered for his dedication to his community. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his children, W. Jay Henderson and his wife, Cristine, of Mars and Janet Lee Mineo of Boca Raton, Fla.; his five grandchildren, Carmen Lorenzen and her husband, Paul, Dana Ocampo and her husband, Sebastian, Natalie Lopez and her husband, Derek, Sarah Henderson and Max Henderson; and his seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Corinne (Ewing) Henderson, who passed away on June 12, 1999.
HENDERSON - The family of William W. Henderson, who died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, will welcome friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dr. N. Graham Standish officiating.
He will be laid to rest at the Zelienople Community Mausoleum.
