Deborah Falchek Deborah Falchek, 50, of Topeka died Friday, December 6, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Services will be Wednesday, December 11 at 1:00pm at the Mount Hope Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas, 66604. The family requests memorial contributions to the Easter Seals Capper Foundation or to TARC of Topeka in lieu of flowers. Debbie was born July 2, 1963 with spina bifida, a form of cerebral palsy. Her disability never kept her from living an active life. She attended the Capper Foundation, and through Cappers participated in dance groups, tennis, white water rafting, rodeo, Special Olympics, and Cerebral Palsy Games. She recently celebrated her ten-year service anniversary with Pizza Hut. Debbie loved to travel and gamble. She was an avid country music fan. She looked forward to spending time with her beloved Uncle Lanny and his daughters Marilyn, Diann, and Lana. She loved attending sporting events with her Dad, and playing bingo with her sister Theresa. In recent years, Deb found joy watching the many activities of her niece Lauren and her great-nephew and great-niece Brady and Laynie. Debbie's biggest passion was her friendships. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her friends. Debbie is survived by her parents, Leonard Falchek and Linda Falchek, family friend Edgar Dick, Jr., her sisters Theresa Hooper and Rebecca Proctor, her step-brother, Phillip Falchek, her brothers-in-law Donald Hooper and David Proctor, her nieces Heather Hooper and Lauren Proctor, her nephew Ryan Hooper, her great-nephew Braden Hooper, her great-niece Alayna Hooper and friends too numerous to mention.
