Reverend Dr. Frank Claiborne Reverend Dr. Frank Claiborne went home to the Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 19th, 2014. Frank, the son of Jordan & Cynthia Williams Claiborne, was born September 23, 1925 in Nevada, MO. Frank served in the US Navy. He was married to Ida Verona Driver in 1947. He attended Southwest Baptist College, Ouachita Baptist University and Central Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2006 Frank was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from Southwest Baptist University. Frank is survived by his wife, three children; Cynthia (Harold) Compton, Macon, MO; Paul (Shellie) Claiborne, Macon, MO and Timothy (Elizabeth) Claiborne, Topeka, KS as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Seitz of Nevada, MO. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother, three sisters and his granddaughter Candace Claiborne. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Macon, MO. A service will be held Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Bevier Baptist Church, Bevier, MO. There will also be a visitation on Friday, January 24th, 2014 at Hill & Sons Funeral Home in Appleton City MO at 1:00pm followed by internment at Newton Burial Park in Nevada, MO at 3:30 pm.
