Scott Allan Mumford Scott Allan Mumford, 51, of Tonganoxie, passed away on October 16, 2013 of Pheochromocytoma, a rare neuroendocrine cancer. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Highland Heights Christian Church, 2930 S.E. Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh, KS. Scott was born in Topeka, KS on April 4, 1962, graduated from Highland Park High School. He was engaged to Teresa Davis and a father-figure to her children Rodney Davis, Aaron Davis, and Kelsey Davis. Scott worked as a Technician for Lake Perry Yacht Marina for 5 years and also worked as a Capital City Police Officer for the Kansas Highway Patrol for 20 years. He enjoyed sprint car racing and KU football. Scott is survived by three daughters Heather Mumford Stewart, Patricia Mumford, Amanda Mumford Warren, father Larry Mumford, sister Tracy Matthias Williams, brother Chris Mumford, four grandsons, sister Jolene Shafer, sister Kathy Kearns, six nieces and nephews as well as many other family and friends. Scott is preceded in death by his mother Janice McMillan Mumford Adame. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Scott Mumford Cancer Fund, 6650 NE Meriden Rd., Topeka, KS. 66617.
