Medvecky, Eugene
Eugene R. Medvecky, age 70, of Oxford entered into rest on January 21, 2013 in Danbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is the devoted husband of Janice Renkowsky Medvecky. Mr. Medvecky was born in Bridgeport February 25, 1942 son of the late Edward and Julia Mursko Medvecky and was a resident of Bridgeport and Stratford for most of his life. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and attended the University of Bridgeport. He was a self employed machine designer who most recently was employed with Schick for over 14 years, and was a consultant to many area companies. He was a lector at St. Ambrose Church in Bridgeport, a past president of the Park City Little League, a 25 year member of the Fairfield County Chapter of Approved Umpires, and an avid skydiver with 1300 plus approved jumps at the Blue Sky Ranch in Gardner, NY. He is the beloved father of Janelle Willoughby and her husband Donny, Candice Dritschler and her husband Gary, and Trevor Medvecky and his wife Kristin. He is the brother of Carol Macura and Edward Medvecky. He is the cherished grandfather of Todd Supernois, Candyce Kilburn, Mark Kilburn, Jaxon Medvecky, and Erik Medvecky. He also leaves 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts and an uncle. Friends may greet his family on Thursday from 3 to 6 PM with his funeral service to follow at 6pm in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton.
