BROWN- Reverend George Brown, age 91, entered eternal rest Monday, July 7, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was born September 29, 1922 to the late Edward Brown and Ophelia Braxton Brown in Charlotte County Court House, VA. He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. He was formerly employed as a steel worker for 13 years with Pequonnock Foundry; NE Utilities for 18 years and was an entrepreneur for 40 years as a Landscaper. He was a member of Col. Charles Young American Legion Post #140. Reverend Brown was the former Assistant Pastor of Turner's Faith Temple under Bishop Alonzo Turner; Pastor of Faith Paradise Church and currently a disciple of Holy Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. He was predeceased by one daughter, Eve Brown and six siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Theda Brown of Bridgeport; seven sons, James M. "Jesse", Chris-Asa, George A., Naphtali and John Mark Brown all of Bridgeport; Jeremiah Brown of MD; Daniel Brown of GA; two daughters, Gabriele Brown-Turner of Bridgeport; Alisia Brown of Stratford; one sister, Mary Rucker of MD; fourteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 7:00 PM at the Cathedral of Praise, C.O.G.I.C. International, 45 Gregory Street with Pastor Willie Moye, officiating. Interment will take place Monday, July 14, 11:30 AM at the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown, Connecticut. Friends are invited to the viewing Sunday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the church. See
