Domurad, Sr, Henry J.
Henry Joseph Domurad, Sr., age 90, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday March 24, 2014 at the Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 61 years to Sophie Mary (Peryt) Domurad. Henry was born in Shelton on March 1, 1924 son of the late Adam and Rozalia Domurad and was a lifelong Shelton resident. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII as a Radio Man in the European Theatre Operations. He received his bachelor degree from the University of Alabama and his Masters and Six year degree from the University of Bridgeport. He was a Physics Teacher at Shelton High School until his retirement in 1988. He was also employed in the Labs of Griffin Hospital. Henry was a member of the St. Michael Catholic War Veteran. Henry is the beloved father of Henry Joseph Domurad, Jr. and his wife Deborah and the late Mark Thomas Domurad and father-in-law of Sharon Domurad. He is the proud grandfather of Christopher Domurad and his wife Dana, Heather Hart and her husband Ryan, and Ryan and Kristina Domurad, great grandfather of Jackson Domurad. He was predeceased by his brothers Czeslaw, Edward and Bronislaw Domurad and his sisters Helen Domurad, Genevieve Yonik, Josephine Clearwater, Rozalia Domurad. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church. His burial will follow with Military Services at Mt.
