Pollock, Raymond
Raymond F. Pollock, age 96, of Fairfield, devoted husband to the late Martha Pramuka Pollock, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2013. A proud United States Army veteran of World War II, he worked as an electrician until his retirement. He had an extensive knowledge for construction, and generously shared his time and talents. Martha and Ray cherished their time together with their extended family and friends. He enjoyed bowling, sport fishing, and pheasant hunting. While Trumbull was his home for many years, he made his second home "The Caroltan" for the past four years. During that time, Ray became a welcomed friend to fellow residents, the staff of Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital, and the Tortora family. He relished the opportunity to unofficially oversee the hospital's recent addition. He will be remembered by his family including his nieces, Rita Honcharik and nephew, Leon Honcharik, of Fairfield; as well as the many friends at Carolton. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 130 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His interment will military honor will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
