Kennedy, Robert E.
Robert E. Kennedy 92, of Spring Hill, passed away on April 8, 2014. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and came to this area 30 yrs. ago from Duxbury, Massachusetts. Bob graduated from the University of Bridgeport where he received a degree in Journalism. He volunteered as an ambulance driver for the British Army in WWII where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. He was the owner of Kitchen Design Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Bob was always active in community affairs. He proudly served as the second president of the Board of Directors at Timber Pines and the current president at the Residence at Timber Pines in Spring Hill.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorre Kennedy who passed on April 6, 2007.
He is survived by his son, Douglas Kennedy and his wife, Nancy of Spring Hill; and stepson, Bruce Tenney of Marshfield, Massachusetts.
