Hultgren Jr, Robert
Robert C. (Swede) Hultgren Jr, age 84, of Stratford, beloved husband of Edith Grillo Hultgren, died Friday July 12, 2013 at the Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Hultgren was born in Bridgeport the son of the late Robert and Adeline Hultgren. He retired as a Detective from the Stratford Police Department after 37 years of dedicated service. Mr. Hultgren was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, he was a member of the VFW, the Germania Schwaben Club, PAL and the PBA of the Stratford Police Department. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife he is survived by his devoted children; Robert C. Hultgren III, of Seymour, James T. Hultgren, of Alexandria VA, Gary N. Hultgren and his wife Kristin, of Wallingford, Dennis M. Hultgren, of Stratford and Deborah Altemose and her husband Raymond, of Stratford. Twelve loving grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Tuesday at 11:00 am (directly) at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport with full Military Honors.
