Rosenberg, Rosabelle
Rosabelle "Ronnie" Rosenberg, age 88, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Coral Springs Medical Center. She was the devoted wife of 34 years to Saul Rosenberg who predeceased her in 1982. Ronnie was born on August 20, 1924 in Boston, the daughter of the late Abraham and Dora Elfman, and was the sister of the late Herbert Elfman. Previous to her residence in Florida she lived in Derby and Beacon Falls, CT for 45 years. She was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a longtime congregant and bookkeeper for the Beth Israel Synagogue Center in Derby. Ronnie will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her five children, Roger Rosenberg of Honolulu, HI; Gary Rosenberg and his wife Betsy (Chorney) of Seymour, CT; Ken Rosenberg and his wife Janice (Clark) of Guilford, CT; Debra Rosenberg and her husband Sanford Davis; and David Rosenberg and his wife Robbie Crum of Davie, FL. She was extremely proud of her five grandchildren, Scott, Sarah, Daniel, Marc, and Lindsay with whom she shared much joy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be celebrated on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 11:00am at the Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, 543 George Street, New Haven, CT with visitation period beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Derby-Milford Road, Orange CT. Shiva services will be held at 7:00pm at the home of Ken Rosenberg on Sunday and Monday, March 3 & 4; Gary Rosenberg on Tuesday, March 5; and Debra Rosenberg on Wednesday and Thursday, March 6 & 7. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Jewish War Veterans or a .
