Scott Michlewski, 50, passd away on July 8, 2014. Scott was born on June 3, 1964 in Bridgeport and was the son of Dorothy Doyle and Richard Michlewski, Sr. Scott attended St. Augustine grammar school and graduated from Bullard Havens Tech. He worked for many years in the parts and service department of Riverbank Motors and H & L Chevrolet before becoming a Bridgeport firefighter in 1996. Scott received the Medal of Valor in November 1996 for saving a child from a burning house, risking the ever present danger of a flashover, placing his life in mortal danger. The child survived due to Scott's courage.
Scott was an avid Jets fan, Yankees fan and NASCAR fan, his favorite driver being Ward Burton (CAT 22). He enjoyed his trips to Mexico, Nantucket and, most of all, Key West.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Doyle of Milford, his brother, Richard Michlewski, Jr., and his wife Janet of Derby and his sister, Michelle Michlewski-Garcia and her husband Keith Garcia of Derby. Scott is also survived by his former wife, Donna and his dog, Murphy. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Dorothy (Freibott) Doyle and Thomas Murphy Doyle and his beloved dog, Storm.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Sunday, July 20th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 3:00 pm, Deacon Sennett officiating, at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
