Sekellick, Stephen W.
Stephen W. Sekellick 95 of Seymour entered into eternal life on April 29, 2014. He is the husband of Mary Cass Sekellick. He was born in Minersville, Pa. on Feb. 24, 1919 son of the late Anthony and Suzanne (Trenowslde) Sekellick. The family moved to Southington, Ct. in 1947 and then he moved to Seymour in 1969.He is a communicant of St. Augustine Church and retired from American Cyanatnid in Wallingford as a supervisor with 37 years of employment. During WW 11 Steve was a Pilot in the U.S. Air Force flying mostly in China. Survivors besides his wife are 4 daughters Sharon Powell of Kensington, Ct., Laura (Gene) Stec of Seymour, Theresa (Scott) Hunter of Raleigh, N.C. and Mary (Stephen) Kay of Cumming, Ga. 3 sons Ronald (Sharon) Sekellick of Canton, CT. Tom Sekellick of Seymour and Stephen (Jeanette) Sekellick of Fayetteville, Ga.1 sister Helen Yeich of Thomaston, CT. 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Predeceased by his first wife Marie Brady sekellick 5 sisters Mary 1Cishlo, Ann Somillo, Judy Sekellick, Kay Breslyn and Sue Gruber and 3 brothers Bill, Mike and John Sekellick. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:50 am from the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia to St. Augustine Church for a mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am Calling Hours Monday from 4-7pm In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Augustine Church or Vitas Hospice Care in care of the Funeral Home.
