Gallagher, Terrance M.
Terrance M. Gallagher, 71, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. Terrance was born in Port Chester, NY, on July 7, 1942, son of the late John and Edith Gallagher, and lived in Shelton during most of his life. He served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War, and worked for over 20 years as the manager at Blanchette's Sporting Goods in Shelton. After he retired, he worked with his brother for Gallagher Builders. Terrance really enjoyed golf, fishing, the NY Yankees, and the NY Giants, and he devoted his life for his family. He is the beloved father of Terrance Gallagher Jr., Tracy Gildea and her husband James, Susan Gallagher and her husband Chris Schumacher, Tammy Messenger, and Laura Weitzler and her husband Billy. He also leaves twenty two cherished grandchildren, three brothers, Jack, Teddy, and Danny Gallagher, his former spouse, Ruthann Gallagher, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenny Gallagher, and a sister, Lynn Gallagher. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM, and on Friday are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia.
