Vincent James "Jim" Musto, age 70, of Derby entered into rest on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the CT Hospice with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Jeanette G. Mattei Musto. Jim was born in Derby, on Dec. 2, 1942, son of the late Samuel and Carmela Raiola Musto and was a Derby resident since 1965. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran. Jim owned and operated Pleasant View Service Center in Bethany for many years where he was a master mechanic. He later worked at the Amity Regional High School in Orange until his retirement. Jim was active in various activities at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church. He was a lifelong Chevy lover and enjoyed making gourmet meals. Most of all he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Jim is the loving father of Tracey Lynne Papuga and her husband Timothy, brother of Sandra Papuga, Antoinette Musto and the late Anthony S. Musto. He is the loving grandfather of Timothy James Papuga and Gabriela Ericka Papuga. Jim is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Saturday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Woodbridge. His burial will military honors will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double beach Rd., Branford CT 06405.
