DICKIESON, Christopher David

Chris passed into the presence of his Lord on July 28, 2013. He was born in Calgary, September 13, 1960. As a child, Chris attended Christine Meikle School. Family, faith, friends, sports, food and favourite flicks were the focus of his busy life. For many years, Chris lived as a client of Rehoboth Christian Ministries who provided him with a wonderful home and work environment. Special times for him included vacations at Kootenay Lake, summer camp, Special Olympics, Watson Lodge, his weekly meeting with his Friendship group and church on Sunday, followed by a family brunch. Chris was always up for a party and could be relied upon to remind his family of upcoming birthdays especially where there would be food and fun to enjoy. He was a gentle soul whose faith in Jesus was expressed in his warm and trusting relationship with everyone he knew. Chris was predeceased by his mom and dad, Dorothy and Percy, as well as his sisters Barb Myers and Dianne Megyesi. He leaves to mourn, his brothers Barry (and Terry) of Calgary and Rick (and Judy) of Balfour, BC, brother-in-law Gail (and Jean) Myers of Calgary, brother-in-law Austen Megyesi of Penticton, BC, an uncle Ralph Dickieson (and Kay) of Calgary, an aunt Mary Dickieson of Calgary as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express appreciation for the care and kindness extended to Chris by the staff of the Foothills Hospital, the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, the Sarcee Hospice and many other friends.
