David Manson Graham died on May 7, 2014 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully with his daughters Janet and Paula and his wife Norma at his side. David was born in Calgary on July 23, 1946. He grew up on the family farm on Willow Creek, west of Stavely. He started farming in 1967 when he took over the family farm south of Stavely. In 1981 he and Diane moved their young family to their new home east of Nanton, where David continued to farm and run his cow/calf operation until moving into Nanton in 2010. His greatest passion was farm life and sharing it with his family. David was an avid trap shooter and a member of the Stavely Elk's Lodge No. 112. David is survived by his loving wife, Norma; his daughters Janet (Greg) and Paula (Andrew); his stepchildren Brian (Sharlene), Brenda (Jesse), Cheryl (Mike). He will be sadly missed by his 14 grandchildren: Michelle, Abagail and Kyra; Graeme and Kadence; Joshua, Hannah, Benjamin, Bethany and Jonathan; Isaiah and Arden; Elsie and Madelyn. David is also survived by his brother Gordon. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Alice Graham. The family wishes to thank Dr. Alam, Dr. Easaw and Dr. Sinha and the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and Unit 47 at Foothills Hospital. A very special thank you to all the caring people at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks.
