KEELAGHAN, Edward (Ed) Joseph
(1956 - 2014)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved children and siblings after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. Born and raised in Calgary, Ed worked for many years with his father and eventually moved to Edmonton in the early nineties, where he was a highly ethical businessman and entrepreneur. He was proud of his work with the Edmonton Rotary Club where he contributed to a number of projects, particularly those involving youth and those in need in the community. Ed was charismatic, caring, known for his sense of humor, and loved music (especially the blues), reading, food, good scotch and, most important, family. Ed was a devoted and enormously proud father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother and loyal friend. He was predeceased by his loving parents James & Edith. His legacy continues with his three children, Lindsay, Meagan, & Zachary, along with his grandchildren Madyson and Riley. His love and memories will always be shared through his siblings, Catherine, Sharon, James (Miche), Margaret (Guido), Robert, Sara (Wendy) and his sweetheart Brenda, his nieces and nephews Andre (April, Liam), Justin, Alaina (Matt), Maya, Tomas and Pato. Special thanks to Jeffery "The Dude" Lebowski, Walter Sobchak, Donny, Maude and "The Stranger." Also thanks to Larry, Curly & Moe, Johnny Winter, and, of course, the King. Memorial Service to be held at Ottewell Community League, 5920 93A Ave, Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 1300 hours. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made to local charities supporting the development of young artists such as, iHUMAN & CKUA Radio. He was loved and he will be greatly missed.
"The dude abides."
