Flo "Lucky" Robinson (Cousineau) was born on June 5th and the year was never quite known. The office holding her birth certificate in Montreal conveniently burnt down, and she had the glorious opportunity to celebrate 70 twenty times. We all remember Flo as the original woman of power joining the army at a young age and serving during World War II. After the war, she went to New York for specialized training with Elizabeth Arden, then moved to Calgary and partnered in the Deluxe Hair Salon. She met Bud Robinson when she was looking for the 14th Street "dinky". They were married and were together for 54 years until Buddy passed away in 2003. Flo was a Sunday school teacher and later on involved with the Royal Canadian Legion. Known for her perfect hair, love of dogs, great jitterbug dance moves, super luck in Vegas, hugs filled with "Digga Digga Digga" (her code word for I love you), and just an amazing and warm spirit, which lives on in her sister Cecile McNally, daughters - Gail Kienitz (Brian Kienitz), Ellen McGillivray, grandchildren - Heather, Duncan and Lindsay, great-grandchildren. Flo was loved dearly by her family, friends and the many folks she became best friends with if only for a moment. On September 13th (her lucky number), Flo was reunited with Bud Robinson (Digga Digga Digga!). She was ready to be in the Lord's arms and will be sadly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at EDEN BROOK FUNERAL HOME (17 Avenue S.W. and Lower Springbank Road) on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Flo's. name directly to the Osteoporosis Society of Alberta (104, 2526 Battleford Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB.
