age 90, of Canton, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014. She was born in Newport, Ky. on May 14, 1924 to the late, William and Ina Stichter. Anne retired from Perry Local Schools in 1984, following 18 years of employment as a secretary. She was a very active member of Richville United Church of Christian Christ where she belonged to many organizations. Anne was also a member of McKinley Eagle's Auxiliary #2370, the American Legion Post #44, Canton Elk's Lodge # 68, the Perry Grange, Retired Perry School Teacher's Association, SOAR, REACT and the Royal Ruby's Red Hat Society. She enjoyed her family, gardening, traveling and crafting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Ronald and Scott Carter; great grandson, Jason Jr; and two sisters, Marjorie and Josephine.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Ivan F. Carter; children, Patricia (Jack) Rozenek and Michael (Trisha) Carter; grandchildren, Donald (Linda), Doug (Kim), Darren (JoAnn), Gabe (Angie), Allison (Jesh), Bryan (Maggie), Kelly (Rocky), Jason, and Hope (Jason); 19 great grandchildren; her brother, William Stichter; brother-in-law, Bill Comisford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 12 p.m. in Richville United Church of Christ, 6125 Richville Dr. SW, with Pastor Will Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel and one hour prior to the service from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday in the church.
