Charles H. Kuemerle Jr. Obituary
Charles H. 'Bud' Kuemerle Jr.
66, of Dover died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at his home following an apparent heart attack while doing what he loved most, working on the farm. Born Dec. 21, 1946 in Canton he was a son of the late Charles Sr. and Mildred Welsh Kuemerle. Bud graduated from Dover High School in 1966, from there he proudly served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Fleming Foods in Navarre, retiring after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked at Marlite for a year and a half. He was a member of the Dover VFW, Teamsters Local 92, St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended the Winfield United Methodist Church. Bud was a hard worker, whether he was at work, farming or helping his son and daughter-in-law in the kitchen of Zifer's Homemade Spaghetti Sauce he was always there for his family. He enjoyed camping at Wally World Resort in Loudenville, traveling and in his younger years riding his motorcycle. But the most important part of his life was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren who loved calling him 'Papa Bud'.
A wonderful and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, Bud will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Juliann M. Bloom Kumerle whom he married on June 29, 1974; son, Jason (Amber) Kuemerle of Sugarcreek; grandchildren, Emily, Colson and Blake; sisters, Judith Blubaugh of Bellville, Mary Lou Miller of Dover, (twin sister) Charlotte (Richard) Barnhart of Sugarcreek, Carolyn (Vincent) Weber of Dundee, Nancy Whitehair of Sugarcreek, Vickie (Rock) Thomas of Dundee and Pat Reichman of Dover; brothers, Laryy (Chris) Kuemerle of Dover and Tom Kuemerle of Winfield.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. in the Winfield United Methodist Church with Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover where Fr. Homer Blubaugh will conduct the committal service. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Bud may do so by visiting the on line obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website.
